Mid-life
may not be the best name for this section of our web site. Perimenopause
is the period of gradual changes that lead into menopause. This can
start for some women in their 30's. Hormones
can fluctuate
greatly during these years making life feel like an emotional rollercoster
for many. Check
these symptoms to see if you think you might be entering perimenopause
or menopause.
An exam by one of our medical professionals can
help you determine if you are in this stage of your life. For those
women that know they
are "in menopause," or who have had hysterectomies or chemotherapy,
Planned Parenthood offers perscriptons for hormone replacement therapy.* Call or email
us for more information.
To learn more about menopause, visit the
Planned Parenthood Federation of America's web site. They have an
excellent section about this subject that can help you understand
this change in you — or someone you love.

There are many excellent resources available on "natural"
hormone replacement therapy as well. Check the web or ask your clinician
or doctor for more information. |
